Who are we?

Tasol Solar is a renewable energies company established in 2003. It is the sole distributor of the TASOL brand of technologies in South Africa. TASOL offers turnkey solutions to clients. Design, supply, financing, installation reporting and monitoring are all part of the project specific services that we offer.  Striving to be a leading player in the renewable energy sector, TASOL’s aim is to deliver electrical savings and the reductions of green-house gas emissions through a holistic and sustainable approach, to boost the green economy of South Africa and to contribute to skills development and job creation, whilst being at the forefront of the latest technologies.

INTRODUCTION-TASOL SOLAR BACKGROUND.

TASOL HAS BEEN IN THE SOLAR ENERGY SPACE SINCE 2007 IN BOTH THE THERMAL AND PV SECTORS. THE TASOL BRAND HAS BEEN IN GERMANY THROUGH ITS PARTNER COMPANY, TAGEX, FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS.

TASOL ALSO HAS EXPERIENCE IN ENERGY AUDIT AND MONITORING AS WELL AS PROJECT MANAGEMENT.

SMART ENERGY SOLUTIONS AND LIGHTING IS ALSO PART OF THE COMPANY’S PROTFOLIO AND MANY DOMESTIC SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED AND INSTALLED IN THE GAUTENG REGION. IN GERMANY MANY LARGE INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS WERE SUPPLIED WITH THESE HEATING SYSTEMS.

LIGHTING PROJECTS WERE COMPLETED AT MANY SITES IN SOUTH AFRICA DOING AUDITING AND THEN INSTALLATION THEREOF AS PART OF THE ESKOM INITIATIVE. 

Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

TASOL PARTICIPATED IN THE ESKOM WATER HEATING PROJECT AS WELL AS THE NELSON MANDELA BAY METRO AND JHB METRO ROLL OUTS FOR SOLAR WATER HEATING USING THE LOW PRESSURE EVT SYSTEMS, INSTALLING MORE THAN 70 000 SYSTEMS.

Tasol Heat pumps 

TASOL ALSO PARTICIPATED IN THE HEAT PUMP PROJECT FOR ESKOM AND INSTALLED MANY DOMESTIC AS WELL AS INDUSTRIAL HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS.

PV systems 

IN THE PV SECTOR TASOL INSTALLED DOMESTIC SYSTEM THAT ARE FOR PURE GRID CONNECTION AS WELL AS OFF-GRID/HYBRID SYSTEMS WITH BATTERY BACK-UP OR GENERATOR COMPATABLE. THE LARGEST SYSTEM IN SOUTH AFRICA FOR TASOL IS 1MW AT NMU IN PORT ELEZABETH. TAGEX HAS INSTALLED MANY PV PLANTS IN THE UPPER MEGAWATT LEVELS.
